Indp candidate Atou Liezietsu assures impartial development for Midland

Kohima, June 12: Independent candidate for Ward No 9 (Midland), Atuo Liezietsu today affirmed to work for the general welfare of the ward in consultation with the colony panchayat, if given a chance in the upcoming Kohima Municipal Council election.
Speaking during his candidature declaration cum campaign kick-off programme at APO Hall here, Liezietsu said given the opportunity to represent the colony he would work in tandem with the panchayat officials to uplift the colony in all aspects.
He also assured that once elected as the councilor of the colony, he would not indulge in any form of partiality to any developmental works. “I will give my best for the overall welfare of the colony without any form of partiality,” Liezietsu declared.
Speaking on the occasion former MLA Keneizhakho Nakhro appreciating Liezietsu said that he has known him since NPF days. Liezietsu is a sincere and dedicated person and electing him as a representative of the colony would be justified, he said.
He said that unlike the State Assembly election, in the municipal election it is not about forming the government but directly working for the colony with the funds provided by the government.
Nakhro requested the denizens of the colony to cast their previous vote in favour of Atou Liezietsu.
Ex-chairman of Midland Panchayat Mhalelie Vimero and Medotso Tase also spoke in support of Liezietsu.
Victor Rutsa made the declaration of Atou Liezietsu’s candidature while Neisalie Rossi, pastor of Midland Baptist Church offered prayer. (Page News Service)
