Implement proposed district demarcation: DAYO to Govt.

Nagaland News

DIMAPUR, MARCH 13: The Dimapur Ao Youth Organisation (DAYO) has expressed support to the State Government’s move to create more districts and its proposed district demarcations.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the Organisation maintained that the hallmark of a successfully working government is distribution and delegation of responsibilities to reach all sections of the population.
“The decision of the Government of Nagaland to create the 2 new districts of Tseminyu and Shamator keeping in mind tribal sensibilities is well appreciated and should have its logical conclusion without bias. The creation of Nuiland and Chümoukedima districts should not only be for administrative redress but should be for economic aspirations and opportunities for the common people by taking advantage of the SARFAESI Act”, it stated.
The DAYO asked the Government to implement the proposed district demarcation without further delay “as it is within the administrative boundary of our State”.
“After required reasonable rectification, the pragmatic considerations should prevail over other trivial issues. On such magnanimous policy decision of a duly elected and mandated body of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly, it is expected from bona fide citizens to extend their goodwill and cooperation”, it added.
