Imnatiba meets top GoI officials in Delhi

Dimapur, April 14: Advisor, Industries and Commerce, Imnatiba on his maiden visit to New Delhi called on Secretary DIPP, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, Ramesh Abhishek and Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India Anant Kumar Singh.
Among various issues discussed, inclusion of road Transport in the Transport Subsidy provision recently notified by the Central Government under the new North East Industrial Development Scheme was raised with the Secretary, DIPP importantly as the State is a hilly region with hardly any rail, air and waterway network to benefit from it.
Issues on pending projects with the Ministry of Textiles were also taken up with the Secretary of Textiles.
Secretary of Textiles assured to look into the matter and further proposed to visit the State at an early date to take stock of the problems faced by the artisans, craftsmen and weavers of the State.
The Advisor also visited the State Emporium located in the city and interacted with the officers and staff of the emporium. He observed that the State Emporium was not only a venue to market Make in Nagaland products but it also serves as the economic face of the State and therefore urged the officers and staff of the emporium to be dedicated in their work.
