Dimapur, April 13: Advisor Industries & Commerce, Government of Nagaland, Imnatiba accompanied by General Secretary, NPP, Nagaland Sasank Ghatraj and IPR Secretary NPP, Lima Longkumer along with the Industries & Commerce Department officials called on Union Minister of Textiles and Information & Broadcasting, Smriti Zubin Irani, at New Delhi on April 12 and briefed her of the problems relating to Adhaar being mandatory for all the beneficiaries as the coverage of Adhaar in Nagaland is not yet 100%
He also briefed her on the irregular mode of fund release for the provided Ministerial Schemes already in the pipeline, which have been held up due to which a lot of investment and channelizing is at stake.
He also requested the Minister to look into the Handloom & Handicraft sector for the State of Nagaland as it has always been a very important life line to the State and it’s artisans in particular.
The Minister anticipated the prayers and suggestions laid forward by the Advisor and eagerly committed to look into the subject at the earliest.
