IMA total cease work strike postponed

Dimapur, August 7: The 24-hour withdrawal of medical services all over the country called by the Indian Medical Association (IMA) on August 8 has been postponed due to the flood in Maharashtra, turmoil in Jammu and Kashmir and death of former Health Minister Sushma Swaraj.
The IMA Nagaland State Branch was also geared to participate in the strike by abstaining from all non-emergency medical activities on August 8, said State president Dr Kezevituo Keditsu in a release.
Dr Kezevituo said the State medical doctors were compelled to join the movement to save the medical profession against the draconian NMC Bill.
