IG CRPF reviews CRPF deployment in Nagaland

Kohima, October 11: In view of the volatile security scenario in Nagaland, Mahabir Singh Shekhawat, IG Manipur & Nagaland reviewed CRPF deployment in Nagaland during his recent visit in Kohima, Zubza and Dimapur between September 21-24, informed the DIG CRPF, Kohima, Syamchand De through a press release.

During his visit, Shekawat ensured foolproof security to the VIPs and vital installations. He also emphasized on the need to assist the locals in all possible kinds like blood donation, disaster management, Covid/ AIDS awareness, cleanliness/ plantation drive etc., with humanitarian approach. He sensitized the CRPF troops to ensure public peace, harmony and Human Rights in close coordination with State Administration and police.
Meanwhile, the wife of IG CRPF Manipur & Nagaland, Shekhawat who is also president of CRPF Wives Welfare Association of Nagaland & Manipur distributed Covid care items like PPE Kit, face mask, soaps, gloves and Vitamin C to the families at Lerie, Kohima while attending an event on October 24.
In her address, she urged the people to maintain Covid protocols and to enlighten one’s neighbours for proper Covid care so that any unwanted incident or serious health hazards are avoided. (Page News Service)
