Dimapur, July 25: The Indian Association of Physiotherapist Nagaland Branch (IAPNB) has informed the general public that Physiotherapy is not a paramedical course and does not come under the umbrella of paramedical or rehabilitation council.
Reacting to various advertisements of institutions offering Physiotherapy courses, the IAPNB said every aspiring student should check the criterias properly before taking up the course.
It said with the formation of National Commission for Allied and Health Care Professional Bill, there will be more strict regulations of the profession and in the coming days, there are chances that many institutions which are not properly affiliated/registered and does not fulfill the criteria laid down by the Council would be highly affected.
The association encouraged the aspiring students to look for institutions which are under the state council like Maharashtra, Delhi, Gujarat, Kerala etc.
It also urged the aspiring students to choose wisely taking in to account the said points. However, it said the association has no role in admission process nor is link with any university but for any queries or clarifications one can contact the following numbers: 6009-075522 / 70057 13151.(Page News Service)
