Dimapur, October 22: One day Consultation Meeting on Formation of IAG (Inter Agency Groups) Nagaland, Risk reduction on Disaster management was held at Nagaland Development Outreach Office, Dimapur.
The consultation meeting was jointly initiated and organized by Christian Auxiliary Social Action, World Vision of India, Habitat for Humanity India and Nagaland Development Outreach and the meeting was chaired by Levish Leivon, Habitat for Humanity India representative for NE.
It was mainly for proper coordination between International Relief Agencies and Local Organizations and Institutions to ensure efficient delivery of relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction of the disaster affected communities.
In the meeting more than 20 local NGOs from various walks of life participated and have agreed upon to form AIG Nagaland state for the betterment of the people. Formal launching program will be held soon with more stake holders joining the initiatives.
