Huluyi D Vadeo is 2nd Open Chakhesang Naga champion

Kohima, November 4: Huluyi D Vadeo today emerged champion of the 2nd Open Chakhesang Naga Wrestling championship organised by Chakhesang Wrestling Association (CWA) at Pfutsero Sports Complex.
The 20 year-old, Vadeo, s/o from Late Vecuzo D Vadeo from Sakraba village under Phek district defeated Kekhriezo Nagi of Sechu Zubza village under Kohima district by two straight in the final bout to lift the title.
He stands 6 feet tall and weighs 91 kg.
Nagi (31) s/o late Videtuolie Nagi stands at 5.7 feet and weighs 88kg.
Pfusato Tetseo of K Bawe village and Medosatuo Paunuo of Kijumetuoma village won the 3rd and 4th positions respectively.
The champion Vadeo received Rs 2 lakh along with citations, runners up Nagi got Rs. 1 lakh. Third position Tetseo and fourth Paunuo received Rs 70,000 and 50,000 respectively.
The quarterfinalists Kethoulhou Mejura, Mudotso Thira, Kezhavizo Thevo, Atuo Tevo also received Rs. 10,000 each.
Altogether 60 wrestlers competed for the coveted title, of which 6 wrestlers – three each from Karnataka and Delhi and Sentilong Imchen from Mokokchung also took part in the championship.
MLA & Co-Chairman of UDA Government Kuzholuzo Nienu and Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) vice president Neikhrolo Khalo graced the championship as the special guest and guest of honour respectively.
