Fire at Kohima

Dimapur, March 6: A fire a Lerie colony Kohima destroyed property worth Rs 8 lakhs but timely intervention by the Fire Station Kohima (South) managed to control the inferno and salvaged property woth Rs 3 crore.
A release from Fire & Emergency Services said two fire tenders along with sufficient equipments and fire personnel pressed into action to control the fire. A generator, paints and property worth approximately Rs 8 lakhs was lost in the inferno, it said.
The release informed that cause of fire is suspected to be from electrical short circuit due to lightning. The response team was led by Duty Commander SI Keyirangsobe. (Page News Service)
