Holi celebrated at Raj Bhavan
Governor Acharya & his lady wife celebrating Holi with officers and staff of Raj Bhavan Kohima on 2nd March 2018

Dimapur, March 2: Governor of Nagaland, PB Acharya and his lady wife, Kavita Acharya celebrated the festival of colours with all the officers and staff of the Raj Bhavan secretariat and their families at Raj Bhavan Kohima on Friday.
The Governor and his wife extended Holi greetings and had breakfast with all those assembled on the occasion. They interacted with the children, families and staff and took pictures with them. They also wished the staff and their families’ good health and happiness in the coming time.
The celebration was also attended by Vivela Club members from Kohima. On the occasion, the Governor prayed for peace, harmony, progress and prosperity in the State.
Holi Milan: Later the Governor attended the Holi Milan at Gorkha Public Panchayat Complex, Chandmari, Kohima.
Addressing the gathering, the Governor said that India was a democratic country and unity in diversity was the peculiarity of the country. Stating that the colourful festival strengthens fraternity and togetherness amongst the people and spreads peace, prosperity in the society, he called all to build a new India which is prosperous, strong and free of communalism, casteism and terrorism under the leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.
Be proud that we are Indians, he added.
The Hoil Milan was organised by the Hindu Samaj Kohima. The programme was also attended by DGP Nagaland, Rupin Sharma, IPS and Additional PCCF, Ved Pal Singh, IFS.
