Hindi Diwas celebrated at PHSS

Dimapur, September 14: Hindi Diwas was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Pilgrim Hr. Sec. School on Friday to mark the importance of Hindi. A special programme was organised by the Hindi Department at the School Chapel Hall. The theme of the day being Hindi, all the participants performed their roles using Hindi as the medium.
Welcome speech was given by teacher Namita, followed by various skits, poem recitals, story reading, dance and songs, all performed by the students. A special skit was also performed by the cadets of No.1 Air Squadron NCC, Dimapur.
Teacher Birender Shah spoke on the significance of the day, how Hindi was gaining importance in the world sphere and it has been adopted by various countries as one of their official language.
Vote of thanks was given by Rudro, Hindi Teacher, thanking all the teachers and students for making the programme a success. (Page News Service)
