Heavy rain to lash Nagaland

Dimapur, June 12: The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) has informed that Nagaland is likely to receive heavy to very heavy rains in the coming days.
As per the NSDMA district wise weather waning bulletin, heavy to very heavy rain is likely to hit five districts in Nagaland namely Kohima, Phek, Tuensang, Zunheboto and Kiphire on the June 13. Further, districts like Peren, Kohima, Wokha and Mon is also likely to experience heavy rain on June 14. The overall weather condition across the districts is likely to remain dry except Wokha district on June 15.
The NSDMA informed all DDMAs and emergency response agencies that are into responding to emergencies to remain alert for any untoward incident. The public have been requested to avoid going into overnight stay in the risky zones such as near river banks, sloppy and landslide prone areas.
