Dimapur, December 19: Nagaland Governor PB Acharya has expressed grief at the sudden demise of Kevi Zakiesatuo on December 18 at Dimapur, saying his demise is a great loss to the people of Dimapur in particular and Nagaland in general.
The Governor also strongly condemned the heinous murder, and urged the law enforcing agencies to bring the culprit to book so that justice is delivered to the bereaved family. He hoped that the machinery of State Government will leave no stone unturned to ensure that justice is delivered.
Acharya conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
LoO: Leader of Opposition, TR Zeliang has expressed grief at the untimely demise of Kevi Zakiesetuo, a prominent citizen of Dimapur who was found murdered near his residence on Tuesday.
Late Kevi Zakiesetuo who served the Naga society in various capacities was a peace-loving citizen and his contributions for the welfare of Dimapur will ever be remembered. His family was among the first settlers in Dimapur and I remember him as a promising leader blessed with strong integrity, principle and charisma, he said.
Zeliang condemned the gruesome murder and urged the State Government to immediately book the culprits and deliver justice at the earliest time possible.
He also extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members, and prayed that Almighty God grant peace and solace to all his family members, friends and relatives.

He was a man of principle and conviction and his character was such that he cannot have enemies who could terminate his life so brutally, he said.
“He was a guiding force for me personally and always guided and advised me whenever I approached him. He was fun-loving and amiable and showed no hatred towards anybody.”

Late Kevi was a prominent citizen of Nagaland who served our people in different capacities till his death. The story of how the murder has taken place as per media report is gruesome and barbaric. The dastardly act of murder/s is found daring and professional, it said while condemning the inhuman and senseless act of those who murdered a peace loving citizen.
The NTC urged the State Government to thoroughly investigate the episode and bring the culprit/s to book without delay.
WCH: The Western Chakhesang Hoho has condemned the gruesome murder of Kevi Zakiesatuo, a prominent public figure and senior citizen.
The contribution of late Kevi Zakiesatuo has been unparalleled and his murder leaves an un-replaceable void, it said.
“Late Zakiesatuo’s cold blooded murder within his residential premise raises public anger & unrest which cannot be allowed to go unearthed or unpenalised,” it said while appealing to the concerned authority to leave no stone unturned to nab the murderers.

He was a man for all occasions and character who was loved by all for his selfless participation in helping others in times of difficulties. He will be missed by all of us and the void created by his demise will remain as it is unimaginable that it can be covered for a very long time to come, it said.
