Dimapur, April 30: Governor of Nagaland, PB Acharya has saluted the determination and hard work of service givers in Nagaland on May Day or otherwise known as International Labour Day, saying they play a big role in the State’s progress in particular and the country in general.
Acharya stated that workers are creators of wealth in every field of life. “Work is worship. Exploitation of workers is a crime and is inhuman. We should respect them and have parity in our behaviour with them,” he said.
International Labour Day, also known as Labour Day, is celebrated on May 1 and marks the victory of workers’ movement and is an occasion when we pay tribute to the contribution that workers have made to the progress, prosperity and wellbeing of our society. The Governor called on all to recognize and celebrate the enormous role our working force is playing in enabling our nation attain rapid socio-economic progress.
The Governor has also appealed to all labour organisations to contribute towards building a ‘Swachh’, ‘Samriddh’ ‘Shashakt’ and ‘Niryog’ Bharat.
