Dimapur, August 21: Nagaland Governor, PB Acharya has greeted the people of Nagaland on the occasion of Id-Ul-Zuha, and prayed for harmony and brotherhood in the society.
Id-Ul-Zuha, also known as the sacrifice festival or Bakrid Id, is the second of the two Muslim festivals celebrated worldwide each year.
Acharya hoped that the sacred occasion will usher in goodwill and harmony and further strengthen the values of composite society everywhere.
MCD: The Muslim Council Dimapur has extended Idd greetings to all citizens of Nagaland on the occasion of Idd-uz-zuha, celebrated by Muslims all over the world.
The council on behalf of the community hoped that the festival of prayer and sacrifice would bring a new era of oeace and prosperity among all citizens of Nagaland.
The council also informed all Muslims within Dimapur to see that while celebrating the festival of sacrifice the sentiments of other people are not hurt.
DDCF: The Dimapur District Citizens Forum has wished all Muslims a happy Idd. Joseph Lemtur, President DDCF while extending greetings to all Muslims on the occasion of Idd-zuha, also hoped that this festival of prayer and sacrifice would bring a new dimension of peace n tranquility among all the citizens of Dimapur.
