Dimapur, November 2: Nagaland Governor RN Ravi has greeted the Kuki, Chin and Mizo communities and the people of Nagaland on the occasion of Chavang Kut festival, a festival of peace and unity.
“It is a thanksgiving festival for a bountiful harvest. The involvement of young and old in numerous activities including traditional dances, songs and games is a good way to preserve our rich cultural heritage,” he said adding the celebration of the festival by communities, cutting across boundaries, brings people together and fosters friendship and unity which in turn leads to progress.
The Governor also urged all to strictly observe all COVID-19 SOPs during and after the celebrations of the festival.
