Guv, Ex-PAN condole


Dimapur, March 14: Governor of Nagaland PB Acharya has expressed grief at the demise of a veteran leader, Chenlom Phom on March 13 after a prolonged illness.
In a condolence message to his wife, Chubasenla Chenlom Chenth, Governor Acharya stated that late Chenlom Phom’s contribution as a public leader in various positions for the welfare of the people of Nagaland will be ever remembered. As a person he was friendly, cheerful and fatherly and protective towards the younger generation. Many will feel a sense of personal loss on hearing this sad news and this feeling will continue with them for a long time, he added.
The Governor conveyed his heartfelt condolences all family members and prayed to the Almighty to grant strength and solace to bear this irreparable loss.
The Ex-Parliamentarian Association of Nagaland has expressed shock at the demise of Chenlom Phom, Ex-MLA on March 13.
In a condolence message, the Ex-PAN said late Chenlom Phom was a man of vision and a dynamic public leader who dedicated his life for the dignity and integrity amongst the Naga brothers and sisters.
His death has caused a great loss to the Nagas in general and Phom Community in particular and the void created by him will be difficult to fill, it said and prayed that the departed soul rest in eternal peace.
