Dimapur, November 20: Nagaland Governor RN Ravi has extended Wangala greetings to the Garo community and the people of Nagaland.
“Wangala is a time to celebrate with joy and gratitude for the plentiful harvest. Villages collaborate to observe this festival; it fosters friendship and unity, and also makes the younger generation more aware of the Garo’s rich ancient history and culture,” the Governor said.
“This time it is imperative that you not only observe this beautiful festival safely but also be exponents of Covid-19 protocols where ever you are,” he appealed.
CM: Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has also extended greetings to the Garo community on the occasion of Wangala festival.
“May it (Wangala) bring blessings of good health, peace and prosperity to all. I wish you a happy and safe Wangala,” Rio wished in a tweet.
