GPRN/NSCN urges GoI to announce date for signing Indo-Naga pol agreement

DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 27: The GPRN/NSCN has urged the Government of India, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to announce the date for signing of the Indo-Naga political agreement without any delay, stating that the unprecedented and overwhelming will and desire of the Naga tribes and public for Naga solution is clear to entire world.
In its Joint Council meeting held at Council Headquarter (CHQ), Khehoi Designated Camp on October 26, the Council unanimously endorsed the GPRN/NSCN Collective Leadership to continue strengthening the Working Committee, NNPGs till the Government of India and Nagas sign the negotiated Political Agreement as per the “Agreed Position” and subsequent Naga tribes’ endorsement of the Status paper.
According to a press release issued by MIP, GPRN/NSCN, the house resolved to extend unflinching support to WC, NNPGs in its endeavour to fulfill the political aspiration of the Naga people.
The members also acknowledged and put on record the wisdom and courage of NTC, CNTC, NGBF, 14 Tribes and all Naga Civil societies for bringing different Naga political groups under the platform of Working Committee and facilitating the signing of “Agreed Position” on November 17, 2017.
