GPRN/NSCN observes 42nd Raising Day

Nagaland News

DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 1: GPRN/NSCN observed the 42nd Raising Day of the NSCN at the Council Headquarters, Khehoi Designated Camp on January 31.
A press release from the group on Monday informed that unlike past years, this year’s event was commemorated and observed with a solemn thanksgiving devotional service and commitment to the Almighty God. The programme started with an obituary moment in honour of the martyrs who have fought and sacrificed for the aspiration of Naga people, it added.
Hojei Swu, NPAC member of GPRN/NSCN graced the occasion as guest speaker and paid respect and homage to fallen Naga heroes. He dwelled upon the background and how the National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN) was formed on January 31, 1980 with the sole purpose of establishing a sovereign Naga nation.
Sharing his optimism that the blessing and guidance of the Almighty God would surely prevail upon the Naga people’s aspiration and that the sacrifices and blood of the valiant Naga soldiers would not go in vain, he urged the gathering to stand strong.
