Dimapur, April 17: Government of the People’s Republic of Nagalim (GPRN) has grieved the untimely demise of Major (Retd) Jisangwo Makuri (57 years), member of Steering Committee, NSCN/GPRN s/o Shelumchu Makuri from Khongjiri village under Saramati Region on April 16 after a prolonged illness. He joined the Naga national service on 15th November, 1982.
GPRN further mourned the untimely demise of Tunchapbo Thiumai (93 years), Tatar, s/o Liangrinang Thiumai from Nkhen (Makhan) village under Makuilongdi Region on April 17 after a prolonged illness. He joined Naga national service since 1961 and later on joined NSCN in 2012.
Stating that the void created by their demise is deeply felt and would be difficult to fill in, the GPRN said for their selfless contribution to the Naga national cause, their names would be recorded in the pages of the Naga history and their sacrifices for Naga nation shall ever be cherished by all.
GPRN conveyed its deep condolences to both the bereaved family members and prayed to the Almighty God grant their souls eternal peace and rest.
The Eastern Naga National Workers Union (ENNWU) Convener and member of Collective Leadership Moba Chang also mourned the demise of Maj. (Retd.) Jisangwu and expressed heartfelt condolences. He paid his respect to him and acknowledged him as a man who dedicated his life for the Naga national cause. (Page News Service)
