Govt sets up segregation centre at IG Stadium for returnees


Kohima, May 20: In order to facilitate the arrival of the returnees from outside the State, the Government has set up a segregation centre at Indira Gandhi Stadium Kohima.
The segregation centre will facilitate returnees for Kohima, Zunheboto, Phek, Wokha, Longleng, Mokokchung, Kiphire and Tuensang. This centre will also conduct screening, registration and district-wise segregation. For this joint secretary, Border Affairs, L. Jamithung Lotha has been designated as the convener of the reception committee and ADC Kohima, Lithrongla T Rutsa as co-convener.
The two officers will constitute the various sub-committees as required and have the logistics in place by May 21.
CMO Kohima, Vezokholu will be co-opted for the medical protocols at the reception centre. Security arrangements will be worked out as required, said Finance Commissioner, Sentiyanger Imchen, who is also the convener, empowered group. (Page News Service)
