Dimapur, September 18: As part of its continuing advocacy, One Sop Centre, Tuensang conducted an orientation programme for State Government officers in the DC’s conference hall on September 12. The programme was attended by officers from the administration, police, district HoDs and officers in the district.
Welcoming the officers, OSC coordinator, Chulong said OSC aims to support women who are affected by violence in private and public spaces, including workplace. She highlighted about the range of services provided at the OSC for violence affected women like police facilitation, legal counseling, psychological counseling, medical aid and temporary shelter.
PowerPoint presentation on the activities and cases taken up at the Sakhi OSC, Tuensang was also presented by the centre administrator, Chulong.
DC Tuensang, Mohammed Ali Shihab urged all the stakeholders to render all support to the OSC so that the women of the District will benefit from OSC.
Sakhi- OSC is a centrally sponsored scheme initiated by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India, intended to support women affected by violence. OSC is integrated with women Helpline – 181.
