Govt. constitutes Parliamentary Committee on Naga political issue

DIMAPUR, JUNE 11: The Government of Nagaland has constituted a Parliamentary Committee on Naga Political Issue comprising of all the 60 members of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly, and the 2 Members of Parliament from Nagaland.

The Committee has been constituted to discuss matters relating to the Naga political issue and to play the role of facilitator in the ongoing peace talks between the Government of India and the Naga Political Groups, said an official release.
The committee will be headed by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio as Convenor; Co-Convenors – Deputy CM, Y Patton and Leader of Opposition, TR Zeliang; Member Secretary – Neiba Kronu, Minister, Planning & Coordination, Land Revenue, Parliamentary Affairs and members of the Committee will be all Ministers/Advisors/Members of Parliament /MLAs.
‘Core Committee’
The Committee will have a Core Committee with the CM as Convenor; Co-Convenors – Deputy Chief Minister & Leader of Opposition, Member Secretary – Neiba Kronu, Minister.

NDPP: G Kaito Aye, Minister, Agriculture & Cooperation; Metsubo Jamir, Minister, Rural Development; H Chuba Chang, MLA & Toshi Wungtung, Advisor, IPR, SCERT, VG

BJP: P Paiwang Konyak, Minister, TPT, Land Resources Dev.; Jacob Zhimomi, Minister, PHE; Mmhonlumo Kikon, Advisor, 1&T, S&T, NRE; Dr. Longrineken, Advisor, TA, NH & H. Haying, Advisor, Prisons & PS;
NPF: Imkong L Imchen, MLA; Yitachu, MLA; YM Yollow Konyak, MLA; Dr Chotisuh Sazo, MLA & Dr. Chumben Murry, MLA
