DIMAPUR, MAY 24: Advisor for Power, H Tovihoto Ayemi today reviewed and assessed the crucial role of the Power Department during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Advisor met Chief Engineer, D&R, Moa Aier and Executive Engineer (Electrical) at his residence at Dimapur today and decided that dedicated power lines will be rendered to all the district hospitals and COVID care centres in the State, ensure adequate power supply to all the Oxygen generating plants and assign exclusive teams of linemen/technicians on duty 24×7 to attend to emergency calls related to power in COVID hospitals and centres.
The Department assured to try it’s best to ensure power stability to all hospitals/CHCs/PHCs in the State, informed a DoP release.
In the meeting, Tovihoto emphasized that despite the lockdown imposed to contain the spread of COVID-19 pandemic, the whole workforce of the Power Department is working round the clock to ensure proper power supply to all. He appreciated all the Department officers and staff for their dedication and hard work and extolled all to continue in their commitment to serve the Department and the people to the best of their abilities.
