Governor presents citation to NCC Directorate NER

Dimapur, June 25: Presentation of citation to NCC Directorate North Eastern Region (NER) by the Governor of Nagaland was held at Dr. Imkongliba Ao hall, Raj Bhavan, Kohima on June 25.
Speaking at the program Governor of Nagaland, La Ganesan said that it is a moment of joy in recognizing the invaluable contribution of NCC Directorate North Eastern Region in developing the future leaders of Nagaland in particular and Bharat as a whole. This token of recognition is a testament to the organisation’s unwavering dedication, discipline, and exemplary service in pursuit of your aim of creating leaders and responsible citizens, he said.
The Governor commended the officers and instructors who have led with vision and integrity, their commitment has been the cornerstone of this success. Their guidance has instilled a sense of duty and responsibility in the cadets and fostered an environment where leadership thrives.
The Governor also lauded the cadets by saying that this award reflects their hard work, perseverance, and the spirit of unity they embody. They have demonstrated exceptional discipline, resilience, and a commitment to the ideals of the National Cadet Corps, he said adding, They are the future leaders of our nation, and this honor is a stepping stone toward the greatness that lies ahead of them.
He also appreciated the steadfast support rendered by the Department of Youth Resources and Sports, Government of Nagaland to NCC in the state.
The Governor further said that the NCC Directorate North Eastern Region has consistently showcased its prowess in developing well-rounded individuals. The accomplishments of cadets from Nagaland, particularly in the past few years, resonate beyond this award, inspiring not only their peers but also the communities they serve. It was a matter of great pride witnessing the First NCC Girls Band from Nagaland marching down the Katravya Path on January 26, 2024 showcasing the potential of young Nagaland to the rest of the country and the world.
He also said the various camps and adventure activities they organized, like the All India Trekking Camp held in Kohima, have provided a wonderful opportunity for the youth to showcase their talent and mingle with youth from diverse cultural backgrounds.
The Governor further encouraged the cadets saying that as they celebrate this momentous occasion, they should remember that this accolade brings with it a responsibility-to continue being exemplary citizens, to inspire others, and to uphold the values that the NCC instills in each of them. He also hoped that this award fuel their determination to achieve even greater heights, to serve with even more dedication, and to lead with unwavering integrity.
During the program, the Governor of Nagaland, La Ganesan, awarded a ‘Citation’ to the NCC Directorate (NER) in recognition of the commendable contribution of NCC to the development of the youth of the state. Major General, Gagan Deep, Additional Director General NCC, NER received the citation on behalf of the Directorate.
The welcome address for the program was given by Additional Director General NER, Major General, Gagan Deep, and a vote of thanks was delivered by the Group Commander, NCC Group, Kohima, Brig. Dipanker Saha.
