Governor launches Eduversity Cares2

Dimapur, November 30: Governor of Assam & Nagaland Prof. Jagdish Mukhi today launched Eduversity Cares2 at Hotel Vivor, Kohima.
In his address, the Governor said Eduversity Group’s major objective should be to identify talented students and produce IAS, IPS and IFS officers. He encouraged the group to be the torch bearer for excellence.
Chairperson, Nagaland State Commission for Women, Khrienuo Tachu congratulated the CEO, MD and colleagues of the Eduversity Group for coming up with such great initiative with special focus on girl students. She said Naga women in this 21st century are more informed and equipped, and hoped that this initiative will take the a long way in empowering and leading Naga women to another level.
In his keynote address, Chief Operating Officer, Eduversity Group, Prakash Nayak, said the initiative is for girl students of the institution to cope with their monthly cycle without compromising on their studies and classes. Under the initiative, a girl student gets a 2-day leave during the initial period of menstrual cycle, which is considered as the peak of any discomfort. According to him, the leave would be on voluntary basis and the classes missed shall be compensated on Saturdays. (Page News Service)
