Governor interacts with Nagas in Shillong


Dimapur, July 9: Nagaland Governor PB Acharya interacted with Naga elders, Naga student leaders and officers & staff of Nagaland House, Shillong on Monday at Shillong.
The Governor encouraged students to continue working hard and to achieve their goals in empowering themselves with knowledge.
Speaking on the importance of skill development, the Governor said that it was important to have a course in skill and said that UGC has made it mandatory to introduce skill development in the curriculum. He called on students to be ‘game changers’ and socially accountable. He stated that students, when they come out, must be an asset to the society and be employable. Work culture should be embraced and be positive towards entrepreneurship, he added.
The Governor also called on the gathered to continue promoting the rich Naga culture and traditions and to keep their mother tongue alive as it is ones identity. He also encouraged them to inform the various targeted group on the Central and State Government schemes for their benefit and all round development. (Page News Service)
