Governor interacts with children of police officers

Dimapur, July 10: Governor of Nagaland PB Acharya called on children to perform their duties as students towards their studies and to shine in their field while interacting with children of Officers and Staff of Nagaland Armed Police Training Centre, Chumukedima during their visit to Raj Bhavan Kohima on July 9.
Stating that all were equal, Governor Acharya encouraged students to focus on their talents and to work towards achieving their goals. Stating that education was the pillar of development, the Governor encouraged students to take their studies with all seriousness. He also emphasized on the importance of taking skill courses and to take the challenge of being an entrepreneur.
Commissioner & Secretary to Governor, Dinesh Kumar, IAS while welcoming the children to Raj Bhavan called on them to enjoy the opportunity of visiting and interacting with the Governor and hoped that they will cherish the moment.
Commandant, NAPTC, Ben Longkumer while giving a brief highlight stated that NAPTC also has a vibrant and active Family Welfare Association with the lady wife of the Commandant as the President. He stated that the association aim at the holistic development and fulfilment of social obligation through various welfare measures, social empowerment and skill building of spouses and dependents of the unit personals.
He stated that an exposure and sightseeing trip to Kohima was planned as a welfare initiative and as a positive group activity for the children of NAPTC during their summer holidays. The Commandant expressed his gratitude to the Governor and his wife for inviting and hosting lunch for the children at Raj Bhavan.
A folk song was presented by the children. A total number of 52 children within the age group of 10 to 23 years of age accompanied by Unit Officers and members of the NAPTC Family Welfare Association attended the interactive meeting.
