Governor greets media on Ntl Press Day

Dimapur, November 15: Governor of Nagaland, RN Ravi has greeted all members of the media fraternity of the country, especially Nagaland, on the occasion of National Press Day.
“I am happy to learn that the Press Council of India is observing the National Press Day on November 16, symbolising press freedom and ethics of journalism,” he said in a message.
On the PCI topic for the day, “Reporting – Interpretation: A Journey”, the Governor hoped that deliberation on the topic will contribute towards further strengthening the quality of reporting in the news organization.
“The free press is one of the foundation stone of democracy and plays a pivotal role in connecting the Government and the citizens. I trust the occasion will inspire every member of the fraternity to be more responsive, responsible and proactive in their responsibilities,” he said while extending best wishes for the successful celebration of the day.
