Governor greets Kuki community

Dimapur, October 31: Governor of Nagaland, PB Acharya has extended festival greetings to the Kuki community on the occasion of Kut and prayed that the festival bring peace, unity and prosperity to the community.
In a message, the Governor described the festival as a happy occasion for the community and reminded all to thank the Almighty for His unwavering love and blessing. He added the festival should be a source for building unity and called on all to come together and make the atmosphere conducive in towns and villages for peaceful co-existence and all round development in the State.
The Governor also opined that Kut should provide opportunities for budding generations and other villagers to display their skills and physical strength. He encouraged the Kukis to safeguard and promote their rich culture and traditions through the festival.

Leader of Opposition, T R Zeliang has extended warm greetings to the Kuki community on the occasion of Kut, a festival marked by thanksgiving, merry-making and renewal of bond. Let this festival be a celebration of brotherhood and unity.
As all celebrate Kut, Zeliang urged Kuki brothers to come together in unison and build a society marked with peace, love and mutual respect while promoting the rich culture and traditions of the Kuki community.
