Governor extends Moatsu greetings


Dimapur, May 1: Nagaland Governor PB Acharya has greeted the Ao community on the occasion of Moatsu Festival 2019, and prayed that the festival will bring peace, unity and prosperity to the Ao’s in particular and Nagas in general.
Moatsu is celebrated after the sowing is done and the festival provides a period of recreation and entertainment after a stressful work of clearing fields, burning jungles and sowing seeds, he said.
Acharya also encouraged all to safeguard and promote the rich culture and traditions through festivals and come together and rededicate oneself to make the atmosphere conducive in towns and villages for peaceful co-existence and for all round development in the State.
BJP: The BJP Nagaland has conveyed greetings to the Ao brothers and sisters on the special occasion of Moatsu festival.
“As you celebrate Moatsu festival, may the festive brings peace, harmony, tolerance and unity amongst the community and to the Nagas in general,” it said. (Page News Service)
UNDP: United Naga Democratic Party (UNDP) has conveyed greetings to the Ao community on the occasion of Moatsu festival. It said Moatsu festival is celebrated to invoke the Almighty God’s blessing after completing all manifold activities.
