Governor extends Holi greetings

Dimapur, March 20: Governor of Nagaland PB Acharya extended greetings on the occasion of Holi to the people of Nagaland in particular and the country in general. He said, “Holi is India’s Festival. Be proud and join Holi celebrations, it is the Festival of Colours.”
The festival strengthens fraternity and togetherness amongst the people and spreads peace, prosperity in the society, he added
In his message, Governor Acharya called on the people to let the colours of Holi fills one’s heart with warmth and love. He hoped that the Festival of Colours strengthen the bonds of friendship, brotherhood and fellowship and unity among the people and spread the message of peace, joy and love across society. Holi is to celebrate unity in diversity. It is the day in a year, one enjoys openly with colours splashed everywhere.
Governor Acharya stated that Holi signifies the victory of good over evil. It is the arrival of spring. It is the end of winter. It is also a festive day to meet each other, play and enjoy, forget and forgive and strengthen relationship.
The Governor appealed to the people to let the spirit of Holi rise above all barriers and strengthen the social fabric to make Nagaland shine by bringing the society together with the spirit of forgiveness and strengthening fellowship. (Page News Service)
