Governor extends Eid greetings

Dimapur, May 13: Nagaland Governor RN Ravi has extended Eid greetings to the people of Nagaland, particularly the Muslim community.


Eid festival is also known as the festival of breaking the fast. It is a religious festival celebrated worldwide by the Muslim community and signifies the end of the month-long dawn-to-sunset fasting of Ramazan. During this festival, events such as prayers, charity, social gatherings, festive meals, gift giving etc mark the celebrations, he said in a message.
Urging all to take precautionary measures by observing COVID-19 protocols throughout the celebrations, the Governor wished all good health and happy celebrations.
NPF: The NPF Minority Wing Central & Dimapur Division has also extended greetings to the Muslim community of Nagaland and neighbouring area on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, and expressed hope that the joyous occasion will herald sustained peace, progress, prosperity and happiness, as well as strengthen the bonds of communal harmony, brotherhood and amity.
The Minority Wing NPF also prayed for the suffering citizens who are facing lots of pain and problems due to the Covid pandemic situation.
DBS: The Dimapur Bengali Samaj has also greeted the Muslim community on the occasion of Eid -Ul-Fitar. “May this festival bring in peace, happiness and prosperity and fellow feeling. May the almighty help us overcome the difficult times humanity is going through,” it prayed. (Page News Service)
