Nagaland News

Dimapur, October 29: Nagaland Governor Prof. Jagdish Mukhi has extended greetings to the Liangmai community and all the people of Nagaland on the occasion of Chaga Gadi, an annual post-harvest festival.
The celebration honours womenfolk for their enormous contribution to the family. It is a time when religious barriers are broken and everybody comes together and creates harmony, he said.
“Our youths should continue to preserve and promote their age-old traditions and showcase the rich cultural heritage as they celebrate the festival. They should also understand and appreciate the underlying ancient philosophies.”
The Governor hoped that the festival of Chaga Gadi bring peace, unity and prosperity to the Liangmai community and to the people of Nagaland. (Page News Service)
