Dimapur, January 19: Governor of Nagaland R N Ravi has extended warm Khaozaosie-Hok-Ah greetings to Khiamniungan brothers and sisters and to the people of Nagaland.
In a message, he said this festival advocates peaceful co-existence, friendship and reconciliation. It is a time of thanksgiving for the year’s harvest.
Stating that this vibrant festival also provides a platform for the youngsters to learn the rich and unique cultural values of the Khiamniungans, the Governor urged everyone to celebrate this beautiful festival following Covid-19 SOPs.
On this auspicious occasion, he also wished all happiness, good health and a prosperous life.
Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton has greeted the Khiamniungan community on the occasion of Khaozaosie-hok-Ah.
In a message issued on Tuesday, Patton stated that the festival is celebrated after all agricultural activities are done, and friendships made and renewed during this festival lasts a lifetime.
He said that this ancient practice needs to be emulated by the present generation.
On behalf of the State BJP legislators, Patton extended warm festive greetings and wished the community joy, peace and tranquillity.
