Dimapur, April 12: Nagaland Governor R N Ravi has expressed concern at the inadequate health and education infrastructures in Akuhaiqa area, stating that children, who are our most precious future assets, should not be made into a liability due to absence of adequate growth opportunities through access to education, health care and proper communication.
The Governor raised the concern after inaugurating the building of Government Primary School, Akuhaiqa, reconstructed by Samvrudi, informed a Raj Bhavan press release.
The Governor also visited the Centrally Sponsored Mulberry Silk Plantations and Manufacturing Unit at New Chungtia implemented by Samvrudi, weaving units and later inspected the main plantation and rearing houses for the worms and cocoons on April 12.
The Governor appreciated the entrepreneurial drive of the people behind it, which has also created employment opportunities for several hundred women of the area, the release said. (Page News Service)
