Dimapur, October 29: Governor of Nagaland R N Ravi has extended greeting to Liangmai brothers and sisters and all the people of Nagaland on the occasion of Chaga Gadi, an annual post-harvest festive.
“It is a joy to know that the celebration honours womenfolk for their enormous contribution to the family. It is also a time when religious barriers are broken and everyone comes together to create harmony in our society,” the Governor said in a message.
He urged the youths to preserve the beautiful culture displayed in the form of folk songs, dances and traditional sports and said they should also understand and appreciate the underlying ancient philosophies.
The Governor requested every to celebrate the festival observing all Covid-19 protocols this time.
“May the fundamental essence of the festival such as love, respect, peace and harmony prevail among all sections of the people,” he wished.
Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio also extended greeting to the Liangmai and Zeme community on the happy occasion of Chaga Gadi and Lamsimnyi.
