Dimapur, December 22: Nagaland Governor PB Acharya has greeted the people of Nagaland on the occasion of Christmas, while also calling upon all to uphold Christian values so that the Prince of Peace can live in us and rule Nagaland.
“Christmas is a season of great joy; a time for remembering the past and hoping for the future. It is also a time of joyous celebration with our family and friends,” he said.
“Let the spirit of love gently fill our hearts and homes. In this loveliest of seasons may you find many reasons for happiness.”
And as we enter a New Year, the Governor prayed that 2019 bring changes for the better in the life of every person and every family/ “And let us with renewed confidence and pride march towards building a developed, economically strong and a prosperous Nagaland and a strong prosperous India. Let us also have prayers for respectable solution of our problem and for permanent peace,” he said.
The Governor and his wife again wished all the people of Nagaland a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
CM: Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio has extended warm Christmas Greetings on behalf of the Government of Nagaland.
In a message, he said Christmas is not just a time for celebration and merry making but a time to rededicate our lives and renew our faith in the Almighty God.
“As the Angels proclaimed good tidings of great joy to mankind more than two thousand years ago, this Christmas season too resonates with the same message. The birth of Jesus is a message of love, peace, joy, forgiveness and redemption,” he stated and wished that this Christmas bring healing and forgiveness to everyone through Jesus Christ, who is the Prince of Peace, the Comforter, the source of joy and hope for humanity.
He also appealed to all sections to spread the message of unity and oneness during this period of festivities.
“May we strengthen our bonds of love and friendship with one another as we strive for achievement of real and genuine peace, even as we celebrate the birth of the King of Kings,” he said and wished all success to all the programs, services and events during Christmas and may we all spread the message of love for His glory.

LoO: Leader of Opposition, TR Zeliang has greeted the people on the occasion of Christmas.
“The happiness of Christmas is here again. A season of great joy, Christmas is a reminder of the great love the Lord has for all of us. It is the recognition and appreciation of the birth of the one who loves us and died in our place,” he said.
“As we prepare to celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, I take this opportunity to wish all the citizens of Nagaland a blessed and meaningful Christmas,” he said while wishing everyone peace, joy and hope this season.
NPCC: The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) has greeted the people of Nagaland a very happy Christmas.
“As we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, may this Christmas remind us of the meaning of being a Christian and renew our faith by receiving Jesus with a renewed commitment and hereafter practice Christian values in the true spirit. May the season also be a meaningful celebration through which our culture manifests itself to be an example to other communities,” said NPCC president K Therie in a message.
“While we remember in prayer, our Christian brothers and sisters and other minorities who have faced persecution this year at the hands of Hindutva forces, we are hopeful that the Lord God will deliver the nation from the hands of persecutors. We are also hopeful that the freedom of religion every citizen enjoyed as enshrined in the Constitution of India, will again become a reality very soon.”
The NPCC prayed that this Christmas also be a time of forgiveness and reconciliation as we look to the promise of Salvation through the birth of Jesus Christ.
The party also wished all a prosperous New Year.
NNC: The NNC (Parent Body) has wished all people in Naga homeland a merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year 2019. “May the Naga people rededicate ourselves to the cause of Naga freedom of sovereignty as we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ the Savior of the world. Let His glory and kingdom prevail at this part of the world and humanity at large,” it said in a greeting.
The NNC (Parent Body) wished and prayed that all the people are blessed “as we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace.”
BJP Dimapur: The BJP Dimapur District has greeted the people of Nagaland in general and the people of Dimapur in particular on Christmas.
“May this Christmas celebration be a blessing to all and bring abundant love, joy and peace in the hearts of all the people,” it said in a message.
“As this year 2018 draws to a close, we go into a new year 2019 with the expectation of new beginning, let us all forgive one another,” it prayed while wishing all a glorious Christmas and wonderful New Year.
