Governor calls for fair governance; Pushes for better roads, health services


Dimapur, January 9: Nagaland Governor, RN Ravi has called upon the State Cabinet to create more institutions for fair governance.
In a New Year breakfast meeting with the State Cabinet today at Raj Bhavan, Kohima, the Governor impressed upon the Cabinet the imperative need of providing better roads, health services, education and livelihood to the people of the State.
The breakfast meeting was attended by Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio, Deputy Chief Minister, Y Patton with their Cabinet colleagues along with Deputy Speaker of Nagaland Legislative Assembly.
Ravi also urged each member of the Cabinet to set targets for their ministry/department for the year 2020 and closely monitor their implementation, informed a press release issued by Raj Bhavan.
In the meeting, the State Cabinet reiterated their commitment and dedication to the service of the people of Nagaland. The Chief Minister thanked the Governor for his initiative and expressed desire to have such meetings from time to time.
