GoN allows partial lifting of ban on appointments

DIMAPUR, JULY 19: Nagaland Government has allowed partial lifting of ban on appointments against existing vacancies.

According an Office Memorandum, dated July 16, 2021, issued by Chief Secretary, J Alam, 10 Departments have been allowed to complete the recruitment process with respect to the total of various 160 posts. The Departments are Administrative Training Institute, Horticulture, Power, Fire & Emergency Services, Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Labour; PHE, SIRD, Commissioner Nagaland, and Treasuries & Accounts.
The Government has relaxed and permitted 66 Departments to recruit a total number of various 1357 posts.
The Departments have been further asked to follow policy of recruitment for reservation under BT/PWD through open advertisement by NPSC/DRB/DLRB.
The concerned Department would carry out the recruitment by the NPSC and the respective Department Recruitment Board (DRB) (for posts outside the purview of the NPSC) as an exception, till such time the Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB) is made functional.
Further, all Group-D posts would be filled up by the respective inhabitants of the district except for Group-D posts under the Secretariat and Directorate offices, as per rules in force, the OM stated.

The OM further stated that there would be relaxation of age for entry into Government service for a period of 1 year with effect from April 22, 2020.
