Dimapur, January 11: Nagaland Deputy Chief Minister, Y Patton today called upon all civil societies to play a proactive role to bring the NSCN (IM) and the seven Naga National Political Groups (NNPGs) under one negotiating table because the Government of India will give only one solution for the Naga issue.
The Government of India will give only one solution for the protracted Naga political issue, he said while speaking at the general meeting-cum-induction of new office bearers (2020-2022) of Lotha Hoho Dimapur here today.
On development activities in the State, the Deputy CM lamented that most of the Government developmental projects are stalled by landownership issues, and appealed to the people and its leaders to cooperate with the Government to avail the facilities of Government funded projects.
Patton also expressed willingness to host Lotha Tokhu Emong at Dimapur in future and also assured to donate a brand new vehicle to LHD. He encouraged LHD to work with sincerity and dedication for the betterment of the society.
A new team of office bearers led by YL Jami ( Retd IAS) among others were inducted to lead LHD for the tenure 2020- 2022.
Earlier outgoing LHD chairman Etsungmomo Kikon gave the welcome address while Rev. Zanao Mozhui, Sr. Pastor LBCD, prayed for the new LHD team.
