GoI-NSCN (IM) FA, GoI-NNPGs AP not conclusive: Rio

Nagaland News

DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 7: On their way to yet another meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi, members of the Core Committee on Naga Political Issue, led by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, made a pit stop at Guwahati in Assam on Wednesday and consulted its Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
After the meeting with his Assam counterpart, Rio told NELive that the Committee members had come “for some consultation” on the issue of Assam-Nagaland border and oil exploration “on our way to Delhi”.
The Chief Minister also maintained his oft-repeated stand that the Indo-Naga issue will be settled between the negotiators and that the Committee members are just facilitators.
“(The) Naga peace talk is between the Government of India and the Naga groups; so though they signed Framework Agreement with NSCN (IM) and Agreed Points with NNPGs, it is not conclusive. So we are trying a way out through our meetings”, he said.
