General Observer conducts meet at Pughoboto

Nagaland prepares of Election 2019

Dimapur, March 29: General Observer, Alok, IAS conducted meeting with the ADC & DEO Pughoboto, K. Mhathung Tsanglao, RO, ERO and the Sector Magistrate and the nodal officers to the 17th Lok Sabha at ADC office on March 29.
The observer enquired about the process of electioneering and directed them to follow the guidelines of the ECI. Alok, who is the observer for Kohima, Dimapur, Zunheboto, Wokha, Peren, Phek, Pughoboto, called upon the 13 A/C Pughoboto election officials to take their responsibilities seriously for smooth conduct of the election. He inspected the strong room of the election machinery and did the second randomization of polling personnel.
He was accompanied by the General Observer for the Tuensang, Mokokchung, Longleng, and Kiphiri, Ravi Jha IAS.
Longleng: Deputy Commissioner & Assistant Returning Officer, Longleng John Tsulise Sangtam has informed that in order to ensure all voters on election duty are extended the opportunity to exercise their franchise, Election Duty Certificate is being issued as scheduled below:
Issue and submission of form 12A for voters from other district is from March 21 to 30 and issue and submission of form 12A for voters from Longleng District is March 21 to April 5.
The DC informed that a copy of Election Duty Order should be attached while submitting the Form 12A. Form 12A and EDC will be issue at EDC Cell DC’s office complex, Longleng. No appeal will be entertain after the expiry of the schedule date.
The DC & ARO Longleng has also informed all Sector Magistrate, Heads of Department and Nodal Officers under various team/cell to be present in station with immediate effect till the election process is over
In another notification the DC & ARO also informed that the 2nd and 3rd phase of training for all the polling officers is scheduled on March 29 for presiding officers & 1st Polling Officers and March 30 for 2nd & 3rd Polling Officers respectively. The polling personnel have been asked to report at GHSS, Longleng at 9 am along with 2 copies of passport photograph. Bus service will be provided for polling officials under Tamlu Sub Division to ferry the polling personnel for the training.
The 3rd phase of training shall be held on April 4&5 at GHSS, Longleng.
Tuensang: The 2nd phase of training of presiding officers and 1st polling officers was held at GHSS, Tuensang on March 29.
DC and DEO Tuensang, Mohammad Ali Shihab, IAS asked the polling officers to be sensitive and committed in their duties and to take their assigned duties seriously.
Mokokchung: The 2nd round of election training for presiding officers and 1st polling officials was held at Mayangnokcha GHSS, Mokokchung on March 29.
Instruction on procedures to be followed for smooth conduct of electioneering process along with demonstration on Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) and Voters Verifiable Paper Audit Trails (VVPATs) application was imparted to the polling officials by master trainers.
Phek: The second polling and third polling officials training is underway at Phek which is being imparted by 10 masters trainers along with administrative officers.
DC Phek appreciated the trainees for their sincerity and co-operation and called upon them to give their best effort.
Peren: Deputy Commissioner (DC) & District Election Officer, Peren, Sarita Yadav, IAS convened a coordination meeting for the forthcoming parliamentary election to the 17th Lok Sabha 2019 regarding the prevailing road condition under Peren District at Old DC Office Peren on March 29.
Superintendent of Police, Peren; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Jalukie and Nodal Officer Transport and E.E. (R & B), Peren etc attended the meeting.
Randomization: The 2nd randomization for polling personnel for Peren District was held at DC Office, Old Peren on March 29.
Randomization was done in the presence of DC&DEO Peren, Sarita Yadav, IAS, Albert Ezung ADC, Bendang Longkumer EAC, Lumchamo DIO and political parties.
