Funeral service of BJP leader held

Dimapur, May 12: Funeral Service of late K Medom Angami, a senior BJP member was held at Supply Colony, Dimapur today. He passed away on May 11 at Zion Hospital Dimapur after a brief illness.
While expressing its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members of Late K Medom Angami, a senior member of Bharatiya Janata Party of Nagaland, the Party stated that a vacuum has been created to replace him in the organisational set up.
He had been serving the party for the last 18 years in various capacities such as Dimapur District President from 2000-2003; Kisan State President from 2003-2006; State Executive Member from 2006-2009; State Vice President from 2009-2012; National Executive Member from 2012-2015; State BJP Core Committee Member 2015 up to date; BJP Office Construction Committee Convenor 2014 up to date; and BJP Disciplinary Action Committee (DAC) Convener 2016 up to date.
Speaking at the funeral service on behalf of the State Bharatiya Janata Party Nagaland, senior BJP member, K James Vizo said that late K.Medom was man of principle and a diehard loyalist of the party, who had the spirit of fighting with truthfulness and who believed in the Constitution of the Party.
To many party rank and files he was a political guru and motivator.
Host of party rank and files besides the Deputy Chief Minister, Y Patton also attended the funeral service. Another senior BJP member, Yambos Murry also spoke on behalf of the State BJP Nagaland.
BJP Nagaland condoles
BJP Nagaland has expressed grief at the untimely demise of senior party leader K. Medom on May 11, saying the vacuum left by his demise will be hard to be filled.
Late K. Medom has held several party posts and served at the district, state and national levels. During the time of his demise, he was the State executive member and the convenor of the Building Construction Committee.
“His absence will be missed by all,” said a condolence from the State BJP.
The party said it stands in solidarity with the family members of late K Medom and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
BJYM: The State BJYM has also expressed sadness over the sudden demise of K. Medom Angami.
The BJYM extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
