Fund raising charity event held at Tuensang

Tuensang, December 2: A fund raising charity event in aid of the most needy people of Tuensang Town was held on December 1 at the parade ground, Tuensang.
The event witnessed a penalty shootout between various Head of Departments in Tuensang and Pastors’ Union, Tuensang. The second event was a football match between DC XI and Frontier Royal Enfield En-Bloc (F.R.E.E).
The penalty shootout was won by the Pastors’ Union scoring 6-3 against HoDs. DC XI won the football match with a score line 3-2 against F.R.E.E.
The event was held to raise fund for those needy people in the town such as the differently abled, windows, single mothers, aged people and orphans to mention a few during this festive season through the concerned Churches.
On December 1, Eastern Naga Students’ Federation boycotted the 58th Statehood Day and launched the 2nd phase of democratic agitation in Eastern Nagaland. However, the charity event witnessed bureaucrats of the district led by Kumar Ramnikant, IAS, Deputy Commissioner Tuensang, Bharat Laxman Markad, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Tuensang and President of the Confederation of Chang Students’ Union, Chingmak Kumchuba coming together for a common good cause.
The event, organized with a good vision saw people from all walks of life and profession regardless of gender participating with an intend to help the needy and be a beacon of hope.
