Freshers’ induction programme held at SJU

Dimapur, June 10: St. Joseph University conducted its freshers’ induction for Under Graduate students cum inaugural function of Bachelor of Physical Education (BPES) on July 10, at SJU, Auditorium, Chumoukedima.
Special guest, Advisor to Chief Minister, Abu Metha & Ambassador of St. Joseph palliative care, Nagaland, expressed gratitude for crossing many hurdles and reaching this significant milestone today. This is the first educational institute in Nagaland that has incorporated a course for physical education in sports which is an important day not only for the institute but important day for the Nagaland as a whole, he saud.
He thanked Bishop of kohima for his timeless efforts for induction of this course, his contribution and initiative are not just for the institute but across the State.
To the students, urged them to take the opportunity to empower themselves in knowledge, to absorb everything that comes their way like a sponge that absorbs so that they empower a knowledge of contributing members of society of tomorrow.
Other highlights of the programme included welcome address by Registar, SJU, Dr. A Robert Xavier; presidential address by vice chancellor, SJU, Dr. D. Gnanadurai and key note address by Bishop of Kohima, Pro- Chancellor, SJU, Most Rev. Dr. James Thoppil. (Page News Service)
