Dimapur, May 15: World Environment Day is celebrated on June 5 every year to spread awareness and action for protection of environment. However, with the current scenario regarding COVID-19 pandemic, Rajkumar M. IFS, DFO Kohima has announced that unlike the previous years, WED 2020 shall be responsibly observed maintaining social distancing.
In this regard, a free online competition on the WED 2020 theme “Biodiversity” has been invited for two sections – School children and Open section.
For school children section, categories of competition include paintings (for classes II to IV), Short Story (for classes V to VII), Poems (Classes VIII to X) and Poster (Classes XI to XII). For the Open section entries are invited for Paintings (Preferably with a traditional touch) and articles. All entries can be mailed at kohimadfo@gmail.com on or before May 23, 2020.
