Free breast cancer screening camp in Mon District

Dimapur, February 5: The Mon District administration in collaboration with Umang, Hyderabad conducted free breast cancer screening camp at District Hospital, Mon on February 5.
Deputy Commissioner, Mon Thavaseelan K, IAS in a circular stated that the breast screening technology developed by Nirami is unique as it is non-touch, non-invasion and non-radiation based. He stated that priority would be given to woman above the age of 35 years.
Pregnant women and lactating mothers will not be eligible for the screening.
The district administration has organised this free breast cancer screening camps under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao.
The camp has been held at Tizit town & Tobu (Feb 3); Mopong & Naganimora (Feb 4) and District Hospital, Mon (for Government Employees & Spouses of Male employees) & Longching Council Hall (Feb 5).
On February 6, the camp will be held at Aboi, ADCs office & Wakching PHC; Feb 7 – Phomching, PHC & at District Hospital, Mon (for DEF staff and spouses of staff); Feb 8 – Chen PHC & Sheanghah Chingnyu Council Hall; Feb 9 – at District Hospital Mon (for KNSK and Women Church leaders; Feb 10 – at District Hospital, Mon for Tanlao ward, papong ward & Zaklom ward; Feb 11 – at District Hospital Mon for Shamnyu ward & wagiem ward; Feb 12 – at District Hospital, Mon for walo ward, thamnan ward & Chingai ward; Feb 13 – at District Hospital, Mon for Techahan ward & Jahjon ward; Feb 14 – at District Hospital, Mon for Shantham ward & Tompang ward and Feb 15 – at District Hospital for Mon Sadar villages.
